SharpSpring increased its agency market penetration by 440% in 2016.
GAINESVILLE, FL — December 19, 2016 — SharpSpring, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHSP), a global provider of cloud-based marketing technologies, experienced dramatic growth in marketing automation platform preference in the past year at the expense of more established brands such as HubSpot, Marketo and Pardot, according to the New Business Tools: 2016 Annual Report published by Mirren and RSW/US.
The Mirren report, called ‘a must read resource for anyone involved in agency new business,’ summarizes information gleaned from more than 200 agency executives on the effectiveness of business tools they use to support and grow their businesses, including marketing automation platforms. The report indicated that there has been a significant shift in platform preference among agencies that are marketing automation users.
In addition to seeing the highest growth rate in 2016 usage levels compared with competitors, SharpSpring also absorbed the highest proportion of available market share. The report showed that SharpSpring increased its agency market penetration by 440% in 2016 over the previous year, surpassing all of its competitors in growth rate for that year.
“We built SharpSpring with the expressed intent of helping marketing agencies grow their revenue and client base,” said Rick Carlson, CEO of SharpSpring. “We believe we’re picking up more of the agency market share than anyone else, including HubSpot, because our flexible and affordable business model generates far greater and higher ROI than competitors’ which charge vastly more for their platforms.”
SharpSpring ranked second out of the nine top competitors in the agency space in 2016 for its ability to drive agencies’ new business efforts, beating out more established competitors like Marketo, Act-On, Pardot, and Eloqua. The SharpSpring platform was also highly rated for its effectiveness by the survey respondents, ahead of seven others.
“These buying patterns put us in an even better position to continue gaining market share at the expense of competitors to become the platform of choice for all marketing automation users,” Carlson said.
