Rick is a founder of SharpSpring and CEO of the group. He started with the goal of bringing marketing analytics and automation tools to small and medium businesses on an affordable and easy-to-use SaaS platform. Rick has 12 years of executive management experience in the technology sector, holding positions such as president, CEO, general manager, and board positions at several successful Internet security companies such as AVG. Rick now seeks to transform the digital marketing technology sector by offering an innovative, easy-to-use digital marketing solution to customers around the world.
Over the past fifteen years, David Buckel has served as Chief Financial Officer for public and private companies in the IT, software, service, healthcare, Internet and technology industries, ranging from startup ventures, consolidations, turnaround situations and leading fast growing profit driven corporations. His extensive experience spans SEC reporting companies, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, deal structure and investor presentations. He has recently served on the board of directors of SouthPeak Gaming (public company) and Racemi Inc., as the audit committee chair. Mr. Buckel received his MBA from Syracuse University and a BS from Canisius College; and is a Certified Management Accountant with National Certification.
Davis is an experienced corporate executive with a career spanning more than 30 years in the technology sector, most notably with global organizations like Microsoft, IBM and Tata Consulting. She currently serves on the advisory board of DataOceans and as a director of Youth Villages. Davis spent over a decade at Microsoft culminating in her role as Vice President of U.S. Dynamic Sales. In that position, she oversaw approximately 400 sales, marketing, technical and customer success professionals and helped define the marketing/sales motion strategy for Microsoft’s Dynamics Customer relationship management (CRM) Cloud and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) products and services.
An experienced executive in leading and growing technology-based businesses, Huey has managed aggressive and innovative management teams during his 30-year career. Currently, Huey is CEO of Capture Higher Ed, an industry-leading technology firm that helps educational institutions meet their enrollment goals. Prior to that, Huey was COO of The Learning House, Inc., where he was instrumental in tripling the size of the company in three years. Mr. Huey received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Miami University and an MBA from Emory University.
Roy W. Olivier
Olivier is currently President and CEO of ARI Network Services, Inc., a provider of an award-winning suite of SaaS, software tools, and marketing services to help dealers, equipment manufacturers and distributors in selected vertical markets Sell More Stuff!™ – online and in-store. Prior to joining ARI, Olivier was a consultant to start-up, small- and medium-sized businesses. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ProQuest Media Solutions, a business he founded in 1993 and sold to ProQuest in 2000. Olivier previously held various sales and marketing executive and managerial positions with several other companies in the telecommunications and computer industries, including Multicom Publishing Inc., Tandy Corporation, BusinessLand and PacTel.
John L. (Rens) Troost has been a director since July 2010. Since April 2010, Mr. Troost has served as President and Chief Technology Officer at Virtual Clarity, and from 2003 to February 2010, he was the Head of Platform Design and Core Technology Architecture at UBS, AG. Previously, he served as managing partner at Surgam Technology Partners, Chief Technology Officer at NAME, Inc., Manager of Systems and Network Engineering at Moore Capital Management and Senior Systems Administrator at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Troost is a contributor to the development of the original standards for email attachments (MIME standard RFC). Mr. Troost has a degree from Columbia University.
